We ate outside on the veranda and had a fantastic time. The service was impeccable so I think they are paying attention to the previous Yelp reviews. Very nice beer selection, I had a Spin Cycle Red which was great but then I had an RPM IPA which blew me away. Mom's cocktail was over strong and extra large but she was very pleased with it... and buzzing within 15 minutes. The Mac and cheese with bacon rocked. Mom had a beet salad which was nice, nothing to rave about. Desserts were very large though not very creative. This place gets a five for overall wonderful experience.

No bad. The building was nice and old. The food is fair to midland. Prices were in the high end pub range.

Building in historic district with cool curb appeal for a brew pub. Never been here. Only driven by. Now we are going in for a look. So far really like what's on tap---28 killer brew brow beaters best of Oregon. Plenty of pub grub to fill the hungry tub too. Although happy hour is 2 PM to 6 PM every day, we are in between meals and not eating. $4 pints/hap hr! So this review is solely based on the brew pub appeal and extensive tap list. Chow! I will come back for chow!

A group of us girls went to Clock Tower to discuss some details of my sister's wedding. We were a smallish group that just wanted lunch and a few drinks. We did have my toddler in tow, so we needed a bigger table that was a normal height to seat the highchair. The only area that didn't have bistro height tables for 6+ was the back room, which was closed. We asked a server if it was possible to sit back there and we got a scoff, eye roll, and a "yeah, I guess so." If it was a problem, we could have figured something out. She finished seating us and tossed some menus on the table and that was the last we saw of her. We waited a half an hour. No one came to take a drink order, bring water, nothing. We complained to the Facebook page to keep it between us and the owners and not to bring down their reviews. We've had nothing but good experiences in the past so we hoped we could shead some light on the issue (which happens to be an ongoing one) but all we got was an insincere apology. After hearing of another friend's experience tonight, I decided to go ahead and make my Yelp review. Clock Tower, pull yourselves together...I really want to frequent your business but your crappy service is keeping me away.

We had a really nice time sitting out on the deck on the warm spring night. I noticed a lot of the other reviews mentioned poor service, but since the majority of the customers were on the deck, I think we were good to go. We had the nachos with pulled pork and some clam chowder and two samplers of the beer... The food was delicious, pulled pork was crispy and tender..a fave combination of mine, and the clam chowder was amazing with some hints of sage in it. Hands down we LOVED the pineapple cider and the grapefruit ale called Raddler! Amazing summer beverages and we are going back to fill a couple growlers on our way home! We would visit again for sure!

The manager on duty was extremely rude. I ordered the Hawaiian burger which had a burger some veggies, a pineapple, teriyaki sauce. Which is what is on the menu. I then get my burger and it's covered in ham. Does anyone else read my description of the burger does it say ham anywhere in that. No it doesn't. Yeah well my burger said differently I then complain cause I hate ham and get told oh well it comes with ham. The "manager on duty" said that oh I guess some of our menus are messed up cause we re-printed them. How is that my fault cause u gave me an old menu? I'm like look Not on my menu (which is what I ordered from) that's ridiculous honestly I want to use more harsh language cause it's fing bs. She charged us full price because apparently she likes pissed off customers. The waitresses are great don't go there on a Sunday they give u fucked up menus that aren't correct.

Don't be fooled by the appearance. Food was greasy and gross. Your better off getting a burger at Burger King. Service (as stated in other reviews) was sad. I guess if your looking for a large selection of beers, this is the place to go.

We stopped on our way home after a weekend visit with family and we were so pleased! Daughter had a burger that she said was perfect, I ordered the potato nachos that were nearly a religious experience and my bff had the tri colored beet salad. Amazing food, perfect drinks and fun, friendly and accommodating staff. We will be back!!!

Really great historic building (seriously rich and creepy history) with decent brewery type food; tons of salad/wrap/veggie options and listed gluten free drinks. Super friendly staff too. Apple pie cider!

Avg pub food. Lots of beer to choose from (I don't drink beer).. Wine offerings are slim pickings. Fun environment. Great outdoor seating. Good for a casual date night.

Don't come here when it's busy. I waited over an hour for an order of fries. The group next to me that was here before waited over an hour as well and their food wasn't cooked right.

Ate here tonight and the food was very tasty as was the hard cider. And the bonus was we were able to have our puppy with us on the patio.
(4)Tony L.
Good beer selection and from what we ate good pub grub. The service depends on which server you get. Our guy was MIA most of the time so we waited for everything longer than one would like while we watched adjacent tables get excellent service.
(4)Hal B.
Loud, slow service, fair tasting food but a lot of handles. If you care more about the atmosphere of a brew house you'll love it. If you're looking for good food and service it isn't here.
(2)Amana W.
Not very good service took 10 min just to get drinks and it wasn't even busy took another 20+ just to get food, burger was greasy and the show string fries where way over salted no one came back to check on us tell we where almost done. Needless to say wasn't worth it and won't be back.

Look, if you think pub food will match fine dining for quality of food and service then I think your expectations are out of whack. This place does the pub thing well. The food was hot, tasted fine and was a decent value. Service was very good, but I was here on a quiet Sunday evening. They have a pretty good selection of draft beer, too. So just to be clear - this was good pub food. I expected pub food and that's why it got 4 stars from me.

Poor service. Food and beer is good, but the waitress have poor service with their attitude. Not once did she checked in with our table, but didn't even get one of our order down and we were waiting for an hour. Keep in mind, it was not even that crowded and there were 3 waitresses, which shouldn't even be an excuse to have poor service and take that long to get 1 platter of buffalo wings. Kimberly F was our waitress and brought to her attention we haven't got our buffalo wings yet and been waiting for awhile , her responds, "ok". Didn't even acknowledge her mistake that she forgot to take down the order and have us waiting for an hour. We just told her will just get our check than, her responds, "ok". She had a bad attitude and did not even give her a tip, which is highly unlikely of us since we always tip 20% if it was good service. We were with our friend who took us here, since he is local, but we were visiting from another state and heard Oregon is well known for their beers, which is true but it didn't come with good service

One of my french fries already had ketchup on it (and looked half eaten)when it got to my table. So either (a) someone in the kitchen was eating fries and dropped a half eaten fry on my plate or (b) my fries were originally on someones else's plate. Either way.... NOT cool Clock Tower! I have been to this place several times now and unfortunately it just gets worse with each visit. The past two times we have been there my boyfriends order was messed up (he requested a pretzel bun instead of a traditional bun. Wrong twice). Last night we were in there and yeah, the place was pretty busy but the service was super slow. The place is small and they had 5 people working the floor (they were not understaffed at all). It just seemed very chaotic. I really want to like this place (because it is one of the only go-to places in The Dalles) but it is going to have to improve on service and food in order for me to continue to visit. But it's not ALL negative. They have a really good beer selection and a cool beer sampler tray. I haven't had the nachos in a long time but when I had them this past winter, they were really tasty!

Looks form the outside, service sucks! Took 15 min before I had to go the bar and ask someone to bring us water menus and clean the table. I was greeted by a bartender with a bad attitude advising me to return to my table and someone would be over.. Multiple other tables were seated during our 15 min wait without our table even being acknowledged. Once we got our food the cool forgot the salmon on one of the salads, and my burger was over done and flavorless. And to top that off the beers were warm. Sorry, can't recommend this place.

Shelly was great... great service and she looked up a drink I wanted, food was good and I'm happy ..

Went for lunch. Waited more than 15 minutes in an empty house for someone to ask us if we had been helped... then after waiting for the staff to pass by, I got agitated and went to the bar to get a glass of water. Then 15 more minutes to get our menus. 40 minutes in we finally got to order.Food was great!!! Service sucked. I felt like we were being ignored.... hope they can get their stuff together because every step of service was lacking... They didn't seem to be trying or even working as a team to help each other out.

Excellent, friendly service. Our server was sympathetic and supportive with my picky 10 year old who ended up loving the kids spaghetti. Baked Mac N Cheese was good. Prices were very reasonable. I did see outside looked a little crazy but we ate comfortably inside.

Great interesting food, great service, beautiful atmosphere, cool building. Loved everything about it. Yum!

We stopped in while spending the night in The Dalles during a road trip. It was Sunday night and they had live music on the patio. The food was better than average Pub food, the beer selection is very good with well chosen selections from some of the better local breweries. For a busy night, the waitstaff was very attentive. We had a nice evening and loved the music.
(4)John B.
Would not know how good the food was since we waited 15 minutes and never got service, so we left.
(1)Alec W.
I enjoy the food, the extensive variety of beers, but the service has been extremely slow. I really want to like this place, but every time I have gone, it has taken at least 25mins before I even see a server. Needs some kind of hosting, or something.
(3)J S.
Thid place blows.. nothing good about it.. Food horrible.. Service awful and I'm pretty sure they aren't even making their own beer. Fake wanna be pub.
(1)Michele C.
Granted, there was a 'help wanted' sign, but it took 40 minutes to get a Caesar salad and a pulled pork sandwich. It was the blandest Caesar salad I've ever had.
(2)Amy C.
Stopped in for a quick drink. Service was ok. Strong smell of mold/mildew. Dirty carpets. Bad fake plants. Super dusty old bottles displayed above the bar. It still looks like a funeral parlor. Mixed drinks on the menu for around $9-$12 bucks. Ridiculous!!!!!!! This place has huge potential. It's a shame the owner doesn't seem to care.

Great selection of beer on tap, nice out door seating. Might have to remind your server you're out there.
